| Photo, named SafnWien06, of Dr. Kristjansson in the mineralogical collection of the Natural History Museum in Vienna, Austria. Its director in the mid-19th century was W. Haidinger who wrote many papers on mineralogy (including Iceland spar), meteorites etc. He may have acquired the giant Iceland spar crystal at display in the cabinet to the left. | |||||||
